Yes. WhatsApp Business API supports landline numbers. The number does need to receive SMS or voice verification for the first registration. After that it works normally. Many companies use their existing business number.

Meta replaced the green tick with a blue tick (Meta Verified). You qualify if you've completed Meta Business Verification, have 2FA on, and are a "notable" brand with an online presence. We help with the application, but approval is selective from Meta. Not every business qualifies.

Templates are pre-approved messages you're allowed to send to start a conversation. Meta checks that they meet the guidelines (no spam, clear opt-out). Once approved you can use them unlimited times with variables like {{name}} and {{order_number}}.
